Terry O'Quinn has long been one of those actors that we all know from
somewhere. Now firmly established in the nation's consciousness as the
almost shamanic hunter figure in Abc/Disney's huge smash hit 'LOST',
O'Quinn shares his effortless cool in the role of Locke. Above all, an
actor's actor, O'Quinn was hand-picked by Lost co-creator J.J.Abrams to
help fill out a cast of largely unknowns and whilst the rest of the
cast meshes together admirably, O'Quinn stands head and shoulders above
the others in his scene-stealing and fascinating character portrayal.

Ron Rifkin has played many a villain in movies and tv shows. His face
has an almost perma-sneer tattooed onto it and his eyes hide more
devilish schemes than you or I could possibly t hink of in a lifetime.
Just his appearance in a show is visual shorthand for 'Look out!'
.
Of course, in reality, Ron is the ultimate gentleman, refined and
beloved by all he works with. A man of principles and possessed of a
strong work ethic. Whatever happens with Alias this season, we cna only
hope that we continue to get to see Ron on a regular basis.

Downloaded a bunch of different things. Just watched the immensely crap and almost porno-like 'Embrace of the Vampire' with the very hot Alyssa Milano. It was quite amusing in it's cheesiness and staged soft-core scenes. Martin Kemp was particularly over the top in his portrayal of the tortured vampire. In fact, there were no outstanding performanes at all and the script made no sense on any level.
Thoroughly reccommended.
Infinitely better, surprisingly, are the episodes of the animated 'Star Trek' which I have briefly skimmed through. Featuring the voices of the original show cast ( plus a monster!) and some perfectly adequate animation, plus many of the original writers, this show boasts some very entertaining and thought-provoking stories. Often forgotten by fandom in general, it is an interesting curio and well worth digging up to view.
Almost halfway through the final dark tower book now and it's still holding up with some interesting revelations and surprises. I am awaiting the end knowing that it will probably be remarkably anti-climactic with some fourth wall nonsense like Stephen King sitting in the tower with a big grin saying 'Hi there, this is the end'.
Lost remains as compelling as ever though I did get somewhat confused at the end of the last episode as I thought they DIDN'T press the key but apparently they did. The militant group of other survivors looks set to be annoying until they get it sorted out. Keeping the guys in a pit is just retarded.
Alias...not liking the death of Vaughan but waiting to see where the show will take us with Jennifer Garner's real-life pregnncy forcing some interesting script changes.
